Mr McGregor: Another Weekend Planned

Mrs McGregor and I have planned yet another weekend to see a garden show, but this time a little closer to home, in Ipswich. Trinity Park (The Suffolk Showground) is hosting their annual Suffolk Autumn Garden Show on the 3^rd – 5^th September and hopefully it will be as good as last year.

I don’t think this time we will be taking the kids; they didn’t appreciate having to spend the weekend with us down at Southend. I think my daughter was rather looking forward to spending some time with her new boyfriend on our new garden seat swing and I think my son wanted to spend some time in the park playing football, so this weekend we will leave them to it. We are only going for a day then coming straight home, so hopefully they won’t be getting up to much mischief when we are at the show.

I have been on the Aztec website, (the event organisers) and the show is promising some fantastic things; there are going to be more autumn flowers showcased than ever before, roughly 200 trade stands (that will keep Mrs McGregor happy and busy) and there will be live music, entertainment and events. This is certainly going to be a great day out, and it is nice to occasionally spend some time with Mrs McGregor without having the kids around.

Let’s hope we don’t worry about them too much so we can enjoy ourselves.
